Template Challenges GALORE

Hi everyone. Today has been a long day. Both kids are sick with a virus, both running temps over 100, and both cranky as can be. Not to mention that they both want Mommy which makes for a long day. I was soooo close to weaning Cayden completely, and now we're back to phase 1. But when all he'll do is nurse, I'm so thankful that I'm still nursing.

Anyway, I am the host of 4 template challenges for January for 4 different sites. I'm sooo excited, and have been soooo busy this evening attempting to get the challenges up and ready to roll. There are four completely different templates, 1 at each site. I've been hosting the template challenges at SZ, BBSD, and KJOI for some time now, but I've added SFS to the mix. Of course, I'm still learning that site, so when I figure out where to upload the actual zip files, I'll post a link back here reminding you to go and play with the template there as well.

The template and my LO for the challenge at SZ look like this:

The kit I used for my LO is Pretty Flowers by CanDesigns. And this is actually a QP that I created. The little girl in the picture is Nickie's and Joel's eldest daughter, Lexi, at Hannah's birthday party in August. She's such a cutie and turns two years old in 2 weeks! If you want to play along in this Template Challenge, go here and read all the rules and how to get the template.

The template and LO that I created for BBSD are here:

Again, I used Pretty Flowers by CanDesigns for this LO and turned it into a QP as well. This is a photo of Aunt Debbie that Uncle Kenny took earlier this week. You can learn all about how to play along with this template here.

This will be my second month hosting the template challenge at KJOI Studios. I have not created a LO with the template I made for this particular challenge. I cannot wait to play with this template. You can go here if you want to play along with this template.

And lastly, I am hosting the first ever template challenge at Scrappin' Freestyle. I have the template created but I do not know where I should upload it to start the challenge, so all I can do is share the template preview with you. This is another template that I cannot WAIT to create a layout with (<-- I know that's bad grammar, but it's sooo late). Anyway here's the preview. If you want to play along with this template, click hereI created my LO using Miss Michaela by Becki Kress. It's available at Color Line Designs. This kit is PERFECT for LOs with little girls. Just look at how awesome it matches the girls' shirts in the photo I used. The template was created by me. I used some actions by Atomic Cupcake to help with the torn and folder papers.

Oh, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

A few new LOs

I know I should be scrappin' Christmas pictures, but I just cannot get motivated. I'm dealing with two cranky children, PMS, and just the blahs. But I did get a couple LOs done today and I want to share the calendars that I made with everyone. The calendars were a lot of fun to create. There are two different versions of the photo calendars. One for the grandparents and then one for my sister. In her calendar, I included photos of her godson, Cade. The calendars were a big hit, especially Heather's. She and Eddie were totally surprised to find photos of all three of their "kiddos" in the album.

I think I failed to announce that I have been invited to serve on the CT for the scrap site Color Line Design. I ran across a template by Kellie Puddy and created a LO. She spotted the LO at DST and actually RAK'ed me with a $10 coupon to the CLD store. I absolutely fell in love with the designers there and am now serving on the Creative Team as a CLD Babe. I've been having fun creating LOs using the kits from August Designs and BooLand Designs. Here are my newest LOs using some products from CLD.

These two LOs were created using Selena's Treasure by BooLand Designs. This is a QuickPage Album featuring 9 inspirational quotes. I love the two pages I chose to create LOs with. And the photos that Uncle Kenny took this past spring and summer were the perfect fit for the softness of the pages.
This LO was created using Cars Go Beep, Beep by August Designs. This kit is just so adorable. The template I used is from my Sketch Template Mega Pack 2 which you can pick up at at SZ or KJOI at 40% off until the 4th! That's 30 sketches for $6.00!!!

And I created this LO for one of my Creative Teams, CanDesigns. This kit is one of her latest kits. She calls it Pretty Flowers and it is absolutely gorgeous. I cannot wait to scrap Spring photos using this kit. . . of course, I REALLY need to print out my LOs before I keep creating more and more. . .I'm getting soooo behind. AHHHH. Anyway, I just can't stop myself. I also used another template from my Sketch Template Mega Pack 2

And lastly, this is a LO I created for the Hawt Mama Blog End of Year LO Contest. I haven't scrapped Hannah's year in review, but here is Caydens. I used the template provided at the blog and April's Child from SeAScrApS's Month Child Series for the kit of my choice. I don't know if they will think it's a winner, but I certainly do.

Journaling reads: Have you really been in my life for 21 months? Where has the time gone? I am still in disbelief that we are about to say goodbye to 2007 and all it has brought to us. Watching you grow over the past twelve months has been amazing. At the beginning of the year, you were not even crawling and now you are climbing! You are definitely a little boy and a lot more physical than you sister ever was! You keep us on our toes to say the least. I have enjoyed being mommy to my sweet boy. It makes me feel special to hear you say, "Want Mommy." And to hear you say, "Love you, Mommy" is music to my ears. You've gone through many changes this year and have grown so much. But there are two things that haven't changed over the past twelve months. And those are your big blue eyes and your sweet disposition. I love you.

NEW Sketch Template Mega Pack, RoseMcDigital Designs TOUs AND 2008 Calendar Pages

I have a new Sketch Template Mega Pack in my stores now. The second round of my sketch templates is finally here in a Mega Pack. This is ANOTHER collection of my famous Sketch Templates saved as layered PSD files. Once again these templates can be used together to create two page layouts or on their own to scrap that perfect page! Using templates will cut your scrapping time in half allowing you to preserve more memories at one time and that makes me HAPPY! Here's a preview:

You can pick this up at SZ or KJOI at 40% off until the 4th! Happy Scrappin' That's 30 sketches for $6.00!!!

I have decided that I am so tired of all the confusing TOU out there with digital scrapbook products. I am guilty of having a very nonspecific TOU in my products, but not anymore. ALL my products are now available as Scrap for Hire (S4O). If you want to purchase my items and use them to create a scrapbook for someone else, go for it. Until recently, I had no idea that doing that was wrong. I have never done scrap for hire, but I have been asked by several to do so, so now that I know I have to be careful with what I use in those projects, I want to make scrapping as easy for the digiscrapper as it can be. My items are not for commercial use, meaning, I do not want someone else to use my items to make $$ in the digital world. But in the printable world, go for it!!!

I am now following the STOUI graphics which should make things so much easier.

Just thought I'd let y'all know. You will find the key for my TOU under my designer blinkies!

Here are the calendars that I created for the grandparents and my sister this Christmas. There are a few months with two pages because Heather's calendar includes pictures of Cade. I think they were all pretty pleased!

Finally ~ A NEW Kit

I have finally completed a new kit! I'm so excited about this one. I started working on it when I was in the Just for the Scrap of It Design Contest. Of course, we all know I didn't win that contest, but I have been selling in three stores and doing fairly well, I might add.

I sat down today and finally completed this kit. It's called About A Boy and it was created with Cayden as my inspiration. He's such a little boy right now that it's not even funny. The first thing he goes to in the backyard after the swings are the little tyke cars!

At the moment, this kit is only for sale at my SZ store, but it will be in all three of my stores by the end of the weekend. And it is on sale for 40% until the 4th!
Want to try this kit out before you buy it? Download the Sampler which includes 3 Papers, 2 Borders, 2 Transportation Elements,1 Traffic Light, 1 Caution Sign, 1 Word Art File, and 1 WordArt Tag.
I will also have my second Sketch Template Mega Pack in stores tomorrow as well. Another Mega Pack that contains 30 PSD sketch template files. I know my last Mega Pack was a big hit.
Happy Scrappin'

Toot! Toot! LOTD at Make It Scrappy

After a long night with my children, both of whom have some sort of ailment, I woke up this morning to take Hannah to the pediatrician for a fever, sore throat, and croupy cough. She has viral tonsilitis, which is very interesting, especially since she doesn't have tonsils.

Anyway, we returned home, changed the sheets on our bed, set Hannah up with a DVD (Barbie Rapunzel, if you must know), and got Cayden down for his morning nap (yes, my 20 month old takes two naps, still!).

I'm finally able to sit down and check my email and see that I've been selected as LOTD at Make It Scrappy. I receive the honor for this LO that I created lasat month using HeidiG's QP of SeAScrApS kit, Boyish! I love this LO. . I love that I did nothing to C's eyes and that they just POP off the page!

Merry Christmas

My kids are sleeping. My DH is out getting Hannah's "baba" (her blanket) that was left at the grandparents' home :( She fell asleep without it because she's so exhausted, but thank goodness that Grandma called. At least she knows where it's at.

I created a LO today. It's covering 2 challenges and a CT designer :)
This LO was created with Christmas Cheer by Karla Marano. It has got to be one of my favorite Christmas Kits this year. This is what I used for our Christmas Cards. I created this for the SFS Sketch Challenge (I created a template from one of Becky Flare's Page Maps). I also used it for the Font Challenge at K-JOI.

Merry Christmas, y'all. Time to play Santa! :)

It's a SALE

Christmas Show LOs, Freebies, and New SZ Mega Kit, and a Sale from Lliella Designs

Here are two LOs I created with photos from Hannah's Preschool Christmas Program. I'm calling it the Christmas Show because that's what Hannah refers to it as. She will also be in the Christmas Program at my parents' church on Christmas Eve, and then she and I will be singing together on Christmas Morning. It is going to be precious, and I will be sure to get it on video!

Created with Angels We Have Heard by CanDesigns. I've been on her CT for 6 months now! Not planning on leaving anytime soon! I thought this kit was PERFECT for these Christmas Program LOs! I also used templates from Traci Reed's Bottom Ups: Photo Collages Set II

I also wanted to share with all of you (I'm a little late in the game) that at Scrappin' Freestyle, the Element Team is being introduced (okay, has been introduced). And as a gift to everyone, the members put together an awesome mega kit called Holiday Wishes. My part of this kit actually coordinates with my Christmas Wishes Kit that is available in my stores. The only way you can get my portion of the Holiday Wishes Kit is to go to our SFS Blog. That link will take you to my portion, but be sure to visit the entire blog to get 10 full size kits, tons of QPs and an entire QP Brag Book using the products! This was fun to created and even more fun to use! I hope you have a blast with it. Here's what my part looks like:

And, the designers at Scrapper's Zone have complied an amazing Christmas Kit called International Cheer. This kit was put together by 17 designers. With an international flair, there are 79 pieces of word art in languages from around the world. This whole kit is rated for Commercial Use. But also in this kit are various designer tools such as brushes, shapes, templates and overlays.
This kit includes 113 papers, 79 Word Art pieces in various languages, 76 motifs, stickers, accents, shapes, 23 frames, 9 tags and journal boxes, 17 bows, ribbon knots and pieces of ribbon, 14 ribbons, 9 rickrack, fibers, stitches, 3 pearls, glitter stars, 3 brush sets, 5 flowers, paper flowers, simulated flowers, 2 borders, make your own Christmas Tree psd file, 2 overlays, 1 ribbon template/pattern, 1 tag template set, 2 alphas, 7 glass buttons.

And now, I learned yesterday that I have been invited to join Lliella Designs CT. She has incredible designs with which I have enjoyed working. Here are a few LOs I did with her work: Cade, Sleeping Baby, and My Family. Starting tomorrow, she is having an awesome sale at Scrapladies where several of her items will be marked down to an amazing price.

And today though December 31st at Art & Scrap, you can grab all of her items at 25% off their regular price. Talk about amazing deals!!

More LOs from me

So, I am really loving the Holly Jolly Christmas Kit by DigiTreats. You can find it here. I may be begging her to let me on her CT! LOL. Here's my latest LO with her kit.
This is a quickpage I created with the SFS December Mega Kit, Christmas Chic. It's an absolutely beautiful kit and they needed some QPs, so I volunteered.

A few of my recent LOs and our Christmas Card revealed!!

I was able to get a lot of scrapping done this past week. I've been working on a surprise for the Grandparents so I can't post those LOs, but I also created a little something for Petra's mom. It's not much, but I think it's pretty special:

And then, Stephen let me spend a little $$ and I got a set of Traci Reed's Templates to work with. If you haven't seen Traci's stuff, it's awesome. I've been a fan of hers for 2 years. She's one of the first people to ever help and encourage me while digiscrappin'. Anyway, had to give her a little "plug." This collection is the Photo Collage Pack #2.

Click on LOs for full credits.

And I found a few pictures of my sister's godson and thought I would created this LO. Only fitting since today is his first birthday! This little man has been through so much, including a fight with Kidney Cancer. He is fine, now. Everything is going well for him. Happy 1st Birthday Cade!!!

This LO was created with a freebie quickpage using Cuddly Creatures from Lliella Designs.

And finally, the cards are addressed and ready to be mailed. It's been slow going this year, but that's what happens when you stamp 75-80 cards and created a digital card as well. I'm very pleased with them. The photos were taken by Uncle Kenny. The kit is Christmas Cheer by Karla Marano. This has to be my FAVORITE Christmas Kit out there!! And the template is by ME! :)

A New Kit ~ Free Sampler

So, I've been working on a new kit since before Halloween. I just couldn't get into it. But yesterday, I sat down and completed the entire it. It's sooooo cute. I call it, "Some Buggy Loves You." I know it's the middle of winter, but around here, we've had maybe 5 days of "cold."

This kit just makes me smile. Here's a preview of the entire kit. This kit comes with 9 patterned papers, 5 buttons, ribbons, and bows, and 8 bugs (2 of each chipboard and transparency).

Below the preview you will find a link to a sample of the kit. Enjoy this little sampler of 2 papers, 1 bow, ribbon, and button, and 2 bugs. :) Please be sure to leave me a comment to let me know you downloaded it!

This kit is for sale at my Scrapper's Zone Store and is 40% off until the 21st.

I've been tagged!

I have been tagged by Patricia from DigiHeaven. I have to answer all of these Christmas questions. They are fairly simpl.

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Both. It really depends on who the present is for and what the gift is. All my kids gifts will be wrapped in paper.

2. Real or Artificial tree? Artificial and Prelit! If we were to have a real tree, we would be sneezing constantly.

3. When do you put up the tree? Normally the day after Thanksgiving. I think this year we put it up on the Saturday after since we had been traveling on that Friday.

4. When do you take the tree down? Usually the weekend after Christmas. Sometimes we leave it up until Epiphany (which is January 6th).

5. Do you like Eggnog? I don't know. I've never had egg nog.

6. Favorite Gift you received as a child? Has to be the White Fender Guitar that Santa brought me when I was in the 8th grade (yes, Santa, I have a little sister). That Christmas was so funny. We got up to open presents and Heather had tons and I had 2 that I could find. The guitar was up in a huge plastic Christmas bag and I didn't even notice it. I must have looked so disappointed before it was pointed out to me.

7. Do you have a nativity scene? Yes, we have 2 on display, 2 for the kids to play with, and one that's also an Advent Calendar.

8. Hardest person to buy for? My husband and my mom. Neither will ever tell me what they want for Christmas.

9. Easiest person to buy for? There are too many of these people. I can get in trouble because of it.

10. Worst Christmas gift ever received? Well, the 1st Christmas my hubby and I were dating (not married), he got me a George Strait Fan Club membership. I thought it was pretty pathetic. But now, it's just funny to relive it.

So, there you have it. I think I'm going to tag Tracy Drane, Candee, and Stephanie. Have fun playing!
