All About Clara Sue

Another one of my amazing CT member is Clara Sue! She's is a sweetheart. I adore all of her LOs and was so pleased when she emailed me to ask if I was still accepting CT Members. She has definitely helped make my designs noticable.

In honor of Clara Sue, I have created another Brag Book Album, this time using my Kid's in the Kitchen Kit. And just like the other two, you can download it for FREE from my Scrapper's Zone or KJOI Stores TODAY, March 19th ONLY.

And on March 19th only, you can pick up the entire kit for half off but only at Scrapper's Zone and KJOI Studios.

And now, let's get to know Clara Sue a little more. Clara is from Tennessee and has lived there all her life. She's been married to her High School Sweet Heart for 28 years, Ricky. They have two sons - Brandon and Matthew, two daughter in laws -Eva and Amanda, and three grandchildren - Bryce Jaden, Ayla Jade, Conner Matthew, and one due in the fall. She started scrapbooking on November 30, 2006 when she stopped and bought a scrapbooking magazine with a CD to the site. The rest has been, as they say, "History." She says she's so addicted it isn't funny. Aside from scrapbooking, she enjoys being lazy with my hubby, watching her grandbabies, reading, watching old movies, being with family and friends, sewing, and traveling.

Thank you, Clara Sue for all you've done for me!!!

All About Ms. Kari

Happy Tuesday y'all. Today I am honoring Ms. Kari of my awesome CT. I got to know Kari at a chat with SeAScrApS. I gave her a free kit of mine and thought she was so sweet that I invited her to be on my CT. She's an awesome gal, although she's a BoSox and Patriot fan. It's not my fault that she's blind to the best sport teams out there - the Yankees and the Colts. I'll forgive her though since her LOs rock the house!

In honor of Kari, I have created another Brag Book Album, this time featuring my kit, Chocolate Kisses. And again, TODAY ONLY, you can pick it up for free in my SZ and KJOI Stores.

And of course, if it's one of her favorites of my designs, it's on sale at 1/2 off so for one more day you can pick up the Bold and Bright Collection, About a Boy, Chocolate Kisses, and Hannah's Backpack at 50% off, but only at SZ and KJOI.

And now, let's learn a little more about Ms. Kari. Ms. Kari is currently living in Kansas City, MO with her hubby, Nick, and kiddos, Shane, Sean, and Justin. She has 1 pet of the animal variety, Abby, her miniature doxie. She began paper scrapping nearly 4 years ago, shortly after Justin was born. I wanted to document our lives in an interesting way other than just in plain boring picture books. She started digi-scrapping in June/July 2007 so she could keep family that's scattered all over the US more updated in what's going on with their lives. Some of her other hobbies include reading, which is a MAJOR think in their home. Her family also loves NASCAR (Jr - 88), baseball and football, which her favorite teams are not worth mentioning twice on my blog. Ha ha ha. Kari also volunteers with the Key Volunteer Network, a support system set up for the spouses of deployed Marines.

And here are a couple Kari's LOs using my designs:

All About Amanda

Like I said in a previous post, I'm honoring each of my CT gals with a special freebie on my blog. If I were an amazing designer, I'd honor them by creating a mini kit, but I'm not that good (lol) so I have created a special Brag Book out of one of Amanda's favorite kits of mine! Today only, you can download the About A Boy Brag Book from Scrapper's Zone and KJOI for FREE!!! Here's a preview:

AND all of Amanda's favorites are on sale at 50% off. . . Are you ready for this? You can pick up About A Boy, Chocolate Kisses, Swell News, and all my Template Packs for half price!!! Only at Scrapper's Zone and KJOI Studios.

And now, let's get to know Amanda a little bit better:

Amanda lives in central Pennsylvania! She's been married to Chris for 7 years and has 2 boys, Zach (6) and Aaron (15 mos). She began began paper scrapping 4 years ago when her family relocated becuase she couldn't find another job outside the home, and she needed something to stay busy. She's always been fairly crafty and could preserve our family memories too. It was fun! It tapered off because it was not fun hauling out all her scrapping supplies during nap times then putting it all away since Zach was 2 when she started. She discovered digital scrapbooking in July 2007. She loves it! She's always loved graphic arts and likes scrapbooking. Now, she can combine the 2. And now, she can just hit save, and walk away if the boys need something, so she gets more scrapping done becuase she can scrap in little snippets of time if she has to.

Thanks for all you do Amanda!!

Sunday, January 27, 2008

So I'm busy updating my blog. I want to be sure that my CT Members know how much I love them. CT Appreciation Week is quickly approaching, but I want them to know that I love all they do for me. I'm fairly certain that without their enabling, I would not be doing as well as a designer as I am.

I have a couple of LOs I want to show off that my CT did for me.

LOs from Kari:
These first two LO were creating using my latest kit, Glitzy Girlfriends. I love the LO with the little feet. So cute!!!!
And this LO was created using my Bright and Bold Color Collection Kit. The kit is so simple and yet she made it work beautifully with this photo!!

Next LOs are from Amanda:

These two were created using my About a Boy Kit. I'm sure they were supposed to be for the Brag Challenge at SZ but since SZ is no more, I don't know what's going to happen with the pages that everyone created.

Ch-ch-changes

Well, I hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend. Today has been an absolutely gorgeous day.

After a long week of horrible, wet and freezing weather, we had a beautiful day with highs in the 60s. I was able to open up our stuffy house and enjoy the sunshine and cool breeze.
And not only that, my mother-in-law came and took my two children to play with one of their cousins, my husband went over to his folks house to help with the floors, and I had the majority of this beautiful day all by myself. I cleaned and vacuumed the living room. I cleaned and vacuumed the playroom. I cleaned, swept, and mopped the kitchen and dining rooms. And I was able to get some scrapping and designing done. I'm working on a new collaboration kit for KJOI. I'm also working a brag book using my 30th birthday photos for the Brag Challenge at N4D. And I'm also just scrapping and trying to meet all my CT requirements. Regardless, I'm having a blast!

Here are a couple of my latest LOs.

This LO was created with Whimsical Spring by CanDesigns.
The photos are of my sweet Hannah and her good friend Stephen at Easter 2006.

This next LO was also created with a kit by Candee. This time I used Letters from Grandma. The template is by me. I might post it as a freebie if you're nice to me. LOL :)

And I've really been missing Granny and Grandaddy this week. I shed a few tears so I thought I'd scrap a LO that made me smile. The next two LOs I created using the Caroline B.'s Once Upon a Time who designers at N4D. This kit is so much fun to work with I just had a blast working with it. Of course, when you have a daughter who has focused on princesses for the past two years, creating LOs that involve castles and pumpkins, fairies and princesses isn't very hard at all.

This first LO is one of my oldest and dearest friend's little girl.

Template is from Kellie Puddy's Baseboards Pack #3

This next LO is of my daughter at her 3rd Birthday Party. We had it at Toys R Us and part of the party was a Princess Parade through the store. It was so much fun. She had a blast!
Template is from Templates-N-More by Trish H.

And finally, this last LO was created using Created with Cuddly Creatures by Lliella Designs. The template is by me.

The beautiful little baby in these photos is our cousin's first child, Lexi, who is now 2.

And now, about those changes. I am no longer selling at Scrapper's Zone. In fact, for the time being, Scrapper's Zone is no more. I do not know anything more than I am sharing here. There was some sort of something and now the site is gone. I do not know what the future holds for that site. I am very thankful that I was able to sell there while I had the opportunity. I hope to see you at my other stores.

My CT Obligations!

I haven't been the greatest CT member. I have rarely been scrapping my own LOs because of all the commitments I have, but I was able to sit down this weekend (between unpacking) and scrap a little bit).
This LO was created with Karla
Marano's "
Gianni's Tractor Kit." It's available at KKD and is super cute for those Little Boy LOs you may need to scrap!

The template is a new one by ME! And it will more than likely be available as a freebie for a short time. But right now, it's just for my LOs.

Journaling reads: Cayden received lots of toys for his first birthday. One of his gifts was a package of little tractors, trucks, and cars. I was finally able to capture Cayden hard at play, driving his trucks all around the living room. May 31, 2007

These next two LOs were created using CanDesigns, "Autumn Wind." It's available at DXD and SAS. I just love it. It's perfect for fall LOs. The templates are both by YSIC Designs. This first template I chose to be for my Template Challenge at BBSD. It's soooo awesome. I love how I was able to get sooo many pictures on the LO without it looking overly cluttered.

Journaling Reads: Journaling Reads:On a beautiful November morning, Cayden played in the leaf file in our backyard while Mommy raked more leaves. The leaves just keep falling and falling with no end in sight. Cayden doesn't mind, though. He had a blast running, jumping, and rolling in the leaf pile. He also enjoyed throwing them up in the air and trying to catch them again. November 8, 2007

Again, this LO was created using CanDesigns, "Autumn Wind." It's available at DXD and SAS. The template is by YSIC Designs and totally perfect for what I wanted to capture in this LO of the little girl that I watch everyday.
Journaling Reads: Playing in the leaves. One beautiful day in November, I raked a huge pile of leaves for the little ones. They had so much fun running and leaping into the leaf pile. Petra expressed sheer joy as she discovered how much fun it is to play in a pile of leaves. 11/8/2007

And finally, I LO with Little Boy by Sarah-Design available at scrapworld24.de and hotspotscraps.com . I did recolor the original kit pieces to match the pictures. But this kit is super cute, regardless. I am about to work on some Halloween LOs with her Happy Halloween Kit, but this LO will have to do for now. :)

Layouts from my CT

So I haven't been the best designer when it comes to anything right now. We're so busy with our personal life of unpacking and fixing up our home that computer time is so limited right now. But my CT has been hard at work. I'd like to announce my new Creative Team
Please join me in welcoming two wonderful ladies to my CT and of course say hello to my very talented and devoted "senior" member, Amanda :)

And of course, they have been hard at work. Check out these LOs:

Patricia used one of my templates for this LO. Click here for more credits.

And she used my Swell News Kit for this LO (which is just beautiful)

Clara Sue created this LO:
This one was created using my Not Sew Spooky Pumpkins kit.

Amanda used one of my templates for this LO. For credits click here

BUT Amanda has been working hard on some Quickpages using my Swell News kit. They are awesome!! I cannot wait to share them with you.

Some of My LOs and Two New Freebies

Okay, so I've done some scrappin' for myself this weekend. It's been a long time coming. I love scrapping my kiddos. My mom has asked me to put together a Brag Book for her to share when she goes on vacation next week. Here are some of the pages I've made. I used my Brag Book Templates and Go This Way by Amy Bleser.

And then I created this LO with Little Boy by Sarah Design. I'm on her CT and haven't been very active lately. Trying to make it up to her.I used a template by Laura Carlson for the DigiScrapShak Template Challenge.

Cayden is playing with one of the manipulatives at the Austin Children's Museum. He figured out this "game" very quickly into our trip and spent most of his time dropping the ball and watching it roll.

And this LO I created with Hop Along by Traci Thompson. I love this kit and the template (which is by Andrea Gold). It was perfect for these bubbles pictures.

Journaling reads: What could be more fun than spending time outside with your big sister?? Playing outside with your big sister while she entertains you with the bubble blower. July 2007

Okay, and now what you've all been waiting for. I've got two more templates for you. One of them is kind of a pain to work with, but the final product is so much fun. Here's the template and MY LO using it. The LO was created with Summer Fun by Sarah Designs and elements by SeAscrAps, J. Cantril, and Buzy Bee Scrapper.

I haven't done a LO with this template, but I love the idea of using smaller photos to frame the journaling. I have done a paper LO similar to this but it's in storage.

Here is the link.

New Store, CT Announcement

I have some exciting news! I'm adding another store to my portfolio!! Add some "JOI" to your LOs!!! I'm the newest designer at K-Joi Studios!!
We're having some technical difficulties with the servers right now so members are not able to participate at the moment, but it should be back up and running again by the end of the week. And I should have my store up!

I have two wonderful scrappers to announce as being on my CT!!!
I'm so excited to have these ladies working with me. They are doing a wonderful job so far and it's only day 3 :) I will post some of their LOs later this evening. I'm working on a preview of my new kit. . . .so once that's done, I'll focus on blogging.

So, my last two template freebies are no longer available. If you missed them, you'll have to wait until they are up in my stores.

And the link has expired!!!

Still working on my latest kit. It's called "Kids in the Kitchen" and it's kicking my butt!!! But I think I'm almost done.

Here's a LO I made yesterday with Candee's Got Baby Papers

Credits: Got Baby? by CanDesigns, Flower Element from O Baby by Debi B, Heart Element from DaddyO! by Victoria Stegall. I cannot remember when I got the star. Let me know if it's yours.

CT Call Extended & NEW PRODUCTS

My CT Call has been extended for an additional week. I am still looking for 2-3 more scrappers who are willing to work with my designs. Please let me know if you are interested!
I have just released 3 new products in my SZ Store. Two brush sets and an Embellishment Set.

Below you will find two different Fruit of the Spirit Brush Sets. I like to call them stamps. I'm a stampin' gal at heart. Digital Scrapping has cut my scrap time by nearly 75%, but I still love to get out my inks and stamp away. So, I came up with these cute brushes to help me at least "feel" like I'm stampin in my scrapbooks. There are two sets. One is more universal than the other, giving you a lot of room for playing with the stamps and using them multiple times.

I have also created Ticket Time, an embellishment kit that was inspired by a comment on my "I AM Four" layout where I created a ticket as a journaling tool. After getting some ideas throw at me from my sister-in-law (thanks, Stephanie!), I came up with the little pack below.

And finally, here's my lately LO using a template I created!

Credits for this go to lots of people ~ Papers are Summer Fun by Sarah-Design, Elements come from Peppermint Creatives, Jan Cantrill, SeAscrAps, DST, Volente Beach WebSite, Karla's Kaleidoscope Designs, Beth Kern, Traci Thompson, BuzyBee Scrapper
