MIA - and a FREEBIE from Flergs

Well, I've been MIA for a while.  Scrapping has seemed to become a quiet pastime of mine.  But that will be changing as I have a new class to scrap as well as a school year for each of my kiddos.  I'm still finishing up my class scrapbook from last year.  I've been stuck on the last couple pages - just can't seemed to sit down and finish them.  Of course, now that I've said that, I will sit down and do that today.  Need to get them done so I can send the links to my parents and let them relive the Three's class at Noah's Ark in pictures.

I'm the Historian for Hannah's PTA so along with her personal class scrapbook, I will be creating a scrapbook for the entire school year.  Of course, due to permissions, privacy etc, I won't be able to share those pages.  But I will share the ones I create as a Mommy for my both children.  I guess I should get started.

Battle of the Creative Teams

So, I'm totally honored to work on Flergs' (Megs Farrow) Creative Team.  Totally honored.  I've been having so much fun working with her designs (which are totally amazing).  This summer, DigiScrapAddict is hosting the Battle of the Creative Teams, and I am working alongside with some pretty amazing ladies.  We had our first assignment last week.  White Space.  We chose to not only use white space but also make that space white.  Pretty cool, although my LO looks more gray than white.  LOL  Here are the LOs that our team created.  We all used the same kit, Mellisa and Mellisa II with backgrounds from various other kits of Megs'.

We made it though Round one and were even named CO-MVPs for this week. So again, can you see why I'm honored?

 

I took Ashley's bridal portraits so I've been having a blast creating a special book for her. These two were made with Kaylee's Garden and Flairy Floss

Lots of Layouts

I've been working getting Cayden's Spring Program video edited and creating end of year scrapbooks.  Here are the layouts I've created in the last month.  The best part of this all was the trip I took to PA to visit my grandparents and extended family.  I had LOTS of free time to work on the end of year scrapbooks!  I don't have time right now to list all credits, but I will, I promise.

Kindergarten Layouts

I cannot believe that there are only 8 weeks of school left.  I don't know what I'm going to do with myself or my children, but I do know that Hannah has had a great year!  And I'm thankful that I've been able to scrap her Kindergarten year.  As a parent, I promised myself to make the best effort to attend all important events/activities at Hannah's school.  And I've been able to do so (it's such a blessing).  The only big event I've missed is the Valentine's Party, but Hannah understood, and Ms. A got some great pictures of the day that I am able to scrap.  This week, I've been working on her Kindergarten Scrapbook.  I'm very pleased with the results thus far.  I've already completed some of the layouts but these are the most recent ones I've made.

 

These two LOs were created with Lliella Designs' kit, Chinese New Year (available at Funky Playground Designs).

This has got to be one of my favorite LOs at the moment.  Photos from Groundhog's Day.  Thanks to Ms. A for taking the pictures. Who knew they'd do something THIS CUTE?  Anyway, the kit I used was Garden Fresh also by Lliella Designs. 

This LO was created with Sherri Tierney's awesome kit, Get Your Groove On.  It's an oldie, but a goodie!!  These are photos from Math and Science Night at school.

And this LO was created using a QP from Backyard Bugs by Karla Marano (Glitter by Flergs). These are photos from the Science Fair - Hannah's class got 2nd place in the Kindergarten Category.

I almost forgot about the wedding LOs I made from James and Jennifer's wedding.  I used Art from the Heart by Sherri Tierney.  GORGEOUS kit, PERFECT for these photos!

Been A While

It feels like forever since I've blogged about anything scrapping.  I'm supposed to be a designer, but I'm juts too busy to be one.  I feel bad about that and am thinking of "retiring."  We'll just have to wait and see.  I hope the next few months slow down.
