Scrappin' Freestyle News/Chat with SeAScrApS

Remember when I said I was hosting FOUR different template challenges? Well, one of the challenges is at Scrappin' Freestyle and I didn't post about a prize. And that's because, the posting prizes at SFS are from collaboration kits created by the Element Team (on which I serve). For January, we put together a rockin' seventies kit called Cinnamon Sweetness. Here's my contribution for the kit:

Just for participating in the challenges at SFS, you will receive parts of the entire Cinnamon Sweetness kit. And what's more fun than the fact that *I'm* hosting the Template Challenge? Come and play with me!! In fact, I put a new template up for the 2nd half of January!!! Take a peek in the Template Challenge Gallery to see what others have done with the temlpate I provided.

And of course, don't forget about Chats with SeAScrApS at DST tonight and every Wednesday starting at 10 pm ET/9 pm CT.Come visit with Heidi and me at SeAScrApS new crops at Digishoptalk on Wednesday nights from 10-11pm Est. Each week there will be a SeAScrAps Challenge. We will be promoting one of SeAScrApS kits for 50% off. This weeks kit is Snowflakes with over 100 elements!

It will be an exciting night for everyone and did I mention there will be freebies? In fact, each week you receive QP freebies created with the featured kit, but once a month, Sandra gives the entire featured kit to all the chat participants for FREE!!! She never reveals when the kit will be given away, so be sure to mark your calendars for Wednesday nights from 10-11p.m. and come join the fun.!!!

New Year's Eve LOs

So this NYE was not much fun for us. We were supposed to go out to a friend's house and spend some adult time away from the kids, but Hannah got was running a fever, so we spent the evening at home. We do have a NYE tradition that we've been doing since Hannah was born and that's going to the Zilker Tree and spinning around underneath it. Stephen and I decided that although the kids weren't feeling 100%, it would be okay to go out to the tree and let them spin around and get a photo or two. So we gave Hannah some Motrin and loaded up into the car. We spent about 15 minutes at the Tree instead of the 30-45 minutes that we usually spend, but the kids had a good time, and we got our family photo!

Here are a few LOs that I created from the evening.

For full credits, click on the layouts.

And of course, after the kids went to bed, Stephen and I spent some time together (at separate computers. . . hahaha). I joined in the DST NYE Celebrations and he played WoW. I know, really romantic. Anyway, before drifting off to dreamland around 1 am, we did (okay, I INSISTED) on snapping a few self portraits of us. I think Stephen was already asleep before I took these photos (he is NOT intoxicated. . . LOL).

Template Challenges GALORE

Hi everyone. Today has been a long day. Both kids are sick with a virus, both running temps over 100, and both cranky as can be. Not to mention that they both want Mommy which makes for a long day. I was soooo close to weaning Cayden completely, and now we're back to phase 1. But when all he'll do is nurse, I'm so thankful that I'm still nursing.

Anyway, I am the host of 4 template challenges for January for 4 different sites. I'm sooo excited, and have been soooo busy this evening attempting to get the challenges up and ready to roll. There are four completely different templates, 1 at each site. I've been hosting the template challenges at SZ, BBSD, and KJOI for some time now, but I've added SFS to the mix. Of course, I'm still learning that site, so when I figure out where to upload the actual zip files, I'll post a link back here reminding you to go and play with the template there as well.

The template and my LO for the challenge at SZ look like this:

The kit I used for my LO is Pretty Flowers by CanDesigns. And this is actually a QP that I created. The little girl in the picture is Nickie's and Joel's eldest daughter, Lexi, at Hannah's birthday party in August. She's such a cutie and turns two years old in 2 weeks! If you want to play along in this Template Challenge, go here and read all the rules and how to get the template.

The template and LO that I created for BBSD are here:

Again, I used Pretty Flowers by CanDesigns for this LO and turned it into a QP as well. This is a photo of Aunt Debbie that Uncle Kenny took earlier this week. You can learn all about how to play along with this template here.

This will be my second month hosting the template challenge at KJOI Studios. I have not created a LO with the template I made for this particular challenge. I cannot wait to play with this template. You can go here if you want to play along with this template.

And lastly, I am hosting the first ever template challenge at Scrappin' Freestyle. I have the template created but I do not know where I should upload it to start the challenge, so all I can do is share the template preview with you. This is another template that I cannot WAIT to create a layout with (<-- I know that's bad grammar, but it's sooo late). Anyway here's the preview. If you want to play along with this template, click hereI created my LO using Miss Michaela by Becki Kress. It's available at Color Line Designs. This kit is PERFECT for LOs with little girls. Just look at how awesome it matches the girls' shirts in the photo I used. The template was created by me. I used some actions by Atomic Cupcake to help with the torn and folder papers.

Oh, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Toot! Toot! LOTD at Make It Scrappy

After a long night with my children, both of whom have some sort of ailment, I woke up this morning to take Hannah to the pediatrician for a fever, sore throat, and croupy cough. She has viral tonsilitis, which is very interesting, especially since she doesn't have tonsils.

Anyway, we returned home, changed the sheets on our bed, set Hannah up with a DVD (Barbie Rapunzel, if you must know), and got Cayden down for his morning nap (yes, my 20 month old takes two naps, still!).

I'm finally able to sit down and check my email and see that I've been selected as LOTD at Make It Scrappy. I receive the honor for this LO that I created lasat month using HeidiG's QP of SeAScrApS kit, Boyish! I love this LO. . I love that I did nothing to C's eyes and that they just POP off the page!

LOs using Sandra's Stuff

I was on a scrappin' frenzy tonight! I'm soooo excited. I got several LOs completed using Sandra's December Freebie. I am totally in love with this kit and cannot believe she is giving it away!!!

Just some LOs

I'm taking a break from the long day I've had. I've been working in the back room all day, trying to get it in some sort of order. I do not feel like I've accomplished anything. This was supposed to be an "accomplish a lot" weekend with the children at Grandma's and DH home. And what happens? The alternator on our car goes out. It's 50 degrees and raining and my DH, who is not mechanically inclined at all, is outside working on the car.

Thankfully, we have the $$ (that's why there's an emergency fund), and I'm not stressing. I just love it when God puts little bumps in the road for us to travel around.

I'm exhausted from the long weekend which means I should probably be taking a nap, but I just won't give in to the temptation. I would sleep the afternoon away.

I have been working on my December Mega Kit Freebie for SFS. Winter Fiesta. It's turning out really cute. I'm trying to incorporate Mexican Christmas Traditions into a Scrapbooking Kit. We'll see how it turns out.

I did create a few LOs today. I am so pleased with how they've each turned out.

This first LO is of our cousin Nickie and her girls. It was created with Hugs and Kisses by Sandra Adamson (AKA SeASrapS) and is available for sale at Scrappin' Freestyle. This LO is using one of the Quickpages that I've made for next week's Chat with SeAScrapS at DST. Remember, every Wednesday from 10-11 pm EST, we chat at DST. It's a lot of fun so I hope you can join us this Wednesday.

These next two LOs were creating using Heidi's QPs from our Chat with SeAScrapS this past week. The kit is Boyish and Heidi did a fantastic job with these QPs. If you had attended the chat, you know that we actually GAVE the ENTIRE Boyish Kit away!!! But if you missed it, you can pick it up here. It's a great kit. . very fun to work with and very versatile. I love these two LOs. Too bad I can't win a prize. LOL. Anyway, I love how these turned out. I cannot believe how blue my baby's eyes are until I did these LOs. NO touching up was done at all!!

Just Some LOs

I've been working hard on an Add On for my first Element Team Assignment, a Christmas Kit using some different colors, a Cheerleading Kit, and more templates. But the one thing I have been missing is scrapping, soooo, I've just finished a ton of LOs and I want to share with with everyone!!!

Both of these LOs were created with Fiesta Tile by Traci Thompson, which is available at Make It Scrappy. The first LO was also created with Baby's First Christmas by Jamie Rousselle, available at DigitalScrapbook Place. And it was with one of my templates. The second LO was created with a template by LB Creations for the October Template Challenge at Just for the Scrap of It

These next two LOs were created with Sandra's (aka SeAscrAps) kit, Crop Til Ya Drop. I made them and then used the LOs as Quick Pages to be given away at the weekly chat I host.

These next two LOs were also made with a kit by SeAscrAps. These are from her Timeless Kit. I LOVE it. I cannot wait to scrap more wedding layouts. Man, it was 8 years ago that we got married. And I'm happier now than I've ever been. God is good! The first layout was created with a Template by LB Creations for the September Template Challenge at Just for the Scrap of It. The botton LO was created with a Template by me and was made for the Words Challenge at DigiScrapShak.

Eliminated and Special Kit

I've been eliminated from the Just for the Scrap of It contest. I'm really okay with it. I haven't even been online since early Tuesday because I started to run a temperature of 101+. Went to the doctor today. I have strep throat. Yup. Yuck. Ow. My throat hurts so much. Even with the gooey stuff I have to gargle to help with pain. It's not helping. I think I may take some tylenol and go to bed.

I have completed a new kit though. And I'm going to go ahead and use the Round Three theme to create a new kit as well.

And I'm now selling in 3 stores, a designer assistant at one store, and on the Element Team for another forum. I'm so excited. I'm lovin' this.

My Stores: ScrappersZone, BusyBeeScrapper Designs, and KJOI Studios.

I'm Sandra (aka SeAscrAps) Designer Assistant over at Digital Candy

And I'm on the Element Team at ScrappinFreeStyle

So, I'm pretty busy. Okay, on to my new stuff. I'm almost down with my brag book collection number 2. I'm working on a Christmas Card Template Collection.

I've finished my most personal kit, With Love for Elise. This is a scrapbooking kit created in memory of my niece, Elise, who was born still last October. I created a memory book for my sister and with her permission have created a scrapbook kit complete with papers, ribbons, word art, and quickpage templates of a memory book. I cannot wait to share it with the world. I'm working on some finishing touches. With this kit, the profits made on the sales will be given to Silent Grief, a place where you can receive support for all who have suffered miscarriage, stillbirth, and later child loss.

It is not for sale yet, I will get it up in my stores ASAP!!

And now, a few new LOs. The first two were created using my Kids in the Kitchen Kit available at my stores :)

This one was created with Little Boy by Sarah Designs available at HotSpotScraps and ScrapWorld

First

So IkeaGoddess has a challenge on hosted at The Meadow, and since she found ME as a template designer and even put me on her blog, I thought I'd play along with the other scrappers. This challenge was to create a LO about a FIRST EVENT. It has to include the following:

• a large title

• a bright background

• one of Gina's Playing With Wire elements

Here's my LO:

I created this using September's Child by SeAscrAps (available at ScrappinFreestyle or DigitalCandy). Template by Tanya B at Digital Candy. This was the template for the August Template Challenge that I didn't participate in (LOL).
