Scrappin' Freestyle News/Chat with SeAScrApS

Remember when I said I was hosting FOUR different template challenges? Well, one of the challenges is at Scrappin' Freestyle and I didn't post about a prize. And that's because, the posting prizes at SFS are from collaboration kits created by the Element Team (on which I serve). For January, we put together a rockin' seventies kit called Cinnamon Sweetness. Here's my contribution for the kit:

Just for participating in the challenges at SFS, you will receive parts of the entire Cinnamon Sweetness kit. And what's more fun than the fact that *I'm* hosting the Template Challenge? Come and play with me!! In fact, I put a new template up for the 2nd half of January!!! Take a peek in the Template Challenge Gallery to see what others have done with the temlpate I provided.

And of course, don't forget about Chats with SeAScrApS at DST tonight and every Wednesday starting at 10 pm ET/9 pm CT.Come visit with Heidi and me at SeAScrApS new crops at Digishoptalk on Wednesday nights from 10-11pm Est. Each week there will be a SeAScrAps Challenge. We will be promoting one of SeAScrApS kits for 50% off. This weeks kit is Snowflakes with over 100 elements!

It will be an exciting night for everyone and did I mention there will be freebies? In fact, each week you receive QP freebies created with the featured kit, but once a month, Sandra gives the entire featured kit to all the chat participants for FREE!!! She never reveals when the kit will be given away, so be sure to mark your calendars for Wednesday nights from 10-11p.m. and come join the fun.!!!

Template Challenges GALORE

Hi everyone. Today has been a long day. Both kids are sick with a virus, both running temps over 100, and both cranky as can be. Not to mention that they both want Mommy which makes for a long day. I was soooo close to weaning Cayden completely, and now we're back to phase 1. But when all he'll do is nurse, I'm so thankful that I'm still nursing.

Anyway, I am the host of 4 template challenges for January for 4 different sites. I'm sooo excited, and have been soooo busy this evening attempting to get the challenges up and ready to roll. There are four completely different templates, 1 at each site. I've been hosting the template challenges at SZ, BBSD, and KJOI for some time now, but I've added SFS to the mix. Of course, I'm still learning that site, so when I figure out where to upload the actual zip files, I'll post a link back here reminding you to go and play with the template there as well.

The template and my LO for the challenge at SZ look like this:

The kit I used for my LO is Pretty Flowers by CanDesigns. And this is actually a QP that I created. The little girl in the picture is Nickie's and Joel's eldest daughter, Lexi, at Hannah's birthday party in August. She's such a cutie and turns two years old in 2 weeks! If you want to play along in this Template Challenge, go here and read all the rules and how to get the template.

The template and LO that I created for BBSD are here:

Again, I used Pretty Flowers by CanDesigns for this LO and turned it into a QP as well. This is a photo of Aunt Debbie that Uncle Kenny took earlier this week. You can learn all about how to play along with this template here.

This will be my second month hosting the template challenge at KJOI Studios. I have not created a LO with the template I made for this particular challenge. I cannot wait to play with this template. You can go here if you want to play along with this template.

And lastly, I am hosting the first ever template challenge at Scrappin' Freestyle. I have the template created but I do not know where I should upload it to start the challenge, so all I can do is share the template preview with you. This is another template that I cannot WAIT to create a layout with (<-- I know that's bad grammar, but it's sooo late). Anyway here's the preview. If you want to play along with this template, click hereI created my LO using Miss Michaela by Becki Kress. It's available at Color Line Designs. This kit is PERFECT for LOs with little girls. Just look at how awesome it matches the girls' shirts in the photo I used. The template was created by me. I used some actions by Atomic Cupcake to help with the torn and folder papers.

Oh, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

KJOI Challenges and a Freebie

So I've been welcomed into the designing family at KJOI Studios. I am absolutely lovin' it over there. If you haven't visited or become a member, be sure to stop by the forums and take a look around. There are so many fun challenges going on and who is there to cheer you on but ME!!! I'm the "Challenge Cheerleader" and I am attempting to give lots of lovin' and encouragement to challenge participants.

On of my favorite challenges at k-joi right now is the Blog Challenge. In fact, I'm snagging this idea from Diana, aka FreestyleMama and an going to give some incentive to those who play the game with us!! I'm losing right now as I've been sick and unable to even sit down long enough to visit everyone's blog without my eyes going in circles and having to run out of the room to visit my all time favorite place at the moment, the bathroom :( . SOOOO, why don't y'all go and play the game for me (LOL) by PMing your answers to Kristin who is hosting, and come back here to let me know you've played (i.e. comment here). I will get with Kristin to find out the person with the most right answers will win a $3 coupon to K-Joi and my never been seen, not yet in stores Brag Book Collection II from ME! If there is a tie, then I will put the names into a hat and have Hannah pick the winner. Who knows, you might even win over at k-joi and get Kristin's special prize as well. But remember, you absolutely MUST comment here in order to win my prize!

And now, for your patience, I have a 2 page template for you :) I know you're SOOOOO excited!!!

File is here. Please let me know if you've downloaded it AND send me your LOs! I'd love to see your work!!!

And remember, voting starts tomorrow at Just for the Scrap of It in the So You Think You Can Design? Contest. There are 24 FREE Kits by us contestant for Round 1. Be sure to stop by, browse through the Round 1 Gallery and cast your vote for your favorite new designer. There is some amazing stuff in this round!! Tough Competition.

Happy Scrappin'

Up for a Sugar Rush??

Join me in the chat room at 10pm EST/9 CST for some fun and games (and freebies!!!) http://www.digitalcandy.ca/forum/chat/

Right now, these chats are a weekly feature, and once a month I will be giving away the kit I am promoting for Sandra (aka SeAscrAps) that week for free! But it's a surprise so I'm never gonna let you know when during the month I am going to do this. SOOOOO don't miss a single chat especially if you love her kits!!!! Please make sure you register with the store prior to the chat or you won't be able to get into the chat room!!

Also we have started a layout challenge for each chat, when you purchase the kit or use the freebies to complete a layout and upload it to the chat gallery before the next chat-we will pick a winner and at the next chat we will vote on our favorite LO and that winner win a free SeAScrApS kit! So make sure you get your layouts uploaded prior to the next chat, and don't forget, you may use the freebie QPs for this challenge!! If you were there last week, be sure to upload a LO for the contest!!! Also when uploading your layouts please include an email addy in the description so that if you miss the next chat and you are the winner you still get your coupon code for the free kit! Hope to see you there !!!
